Kurt Menke is a GIS Consultant for hire. He is a Certified GIS Professional (GISP) who has been working in the field for 18 years. In 2000 he founded Bird’s Eye View to apply his expertise with GIS technology towards the world’s mounting ecological and social problems. Towards this end, Mr. Menke focuses largely on conservation. He is a long time proponent of FOSS4G. He is lead author on the soon to be published book Master QGIS by Packt Publishing and he recently helped author 3 of the 5 courses in the FOSS4G Academy.
